Map Style & Vector Tiles

Map vector tiles are served by OpenFreeMap using the OpenMapTiles schema. © OpenMapTiles contributors. The OpenMapTiles schema and design are licensed under Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International (CC‑BY 4.0); the software is licensed under the BSD 3-Clause Licence.

Elevation & Terrain Data

Elevation data used for hillshading and 3D terrain is sourced via AWS Terrain Tiles, maintained by the Linux Foundation’s Tilezen / Joerd project. The underlying datasets include:

• Shuttle Radar Topography Mission (SRTM) — courtesy of the U.S. Geological Survey
• GMTED2010 — courtesy of the U.S. Geological Survey and National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency (NGA)
• ETOPO1 — courtesy of the U.S. National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA)
• EU-DEM — produced using Copernicus data and information funded by the European Union; EU-DEM layers
• Geoscience Australia — © Commonwealth of Australia (Geoscience Australia) 2017
• Kartverket — data © Norwegian Mapping Authority
• OS Terrain 50 — contains OS data © Crown copyright and database right 2019

Maps are rendered using the Mapbox Maps SDK. Attribution is displayed within the map view inside the app.
